Privacy Policy

This Privacy Notice explains how Shield Skin LLC, doing business as Shield Labs ("Shield," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses personal information in connection with myshieldsystem.com and the related online services, communications, accounts, orders, subscriptions, and customer interactions we operate (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Notice is a disclosure of our practices, not a contract. It does not create rights or obligations beyond those provided by applicable law, and it does not replace any consent that applicable law requires us to obtain separately.

1. SCOPE

This Privacy Notice applies when you visit or interact with the Services, purchase or review products, create or use an account, enroll in or manage a subscription, communicate with us, sign up for marketing, or otherwise provide personal information to Shield.

It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties whose websites, platforms, or services are not controlled by Shield.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you provide.

Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account information, order and subscription details, product preferences, promotion or referral information, reviews, ratings, photos, videos, survey responses, customer-support communications, and other content you choose to submit.

Payment information is collected and processed by payment providers. We receive related transaction information needed to process and administer the purchase, such as payment status, billing details, and limited payment-method information.

Information collected automatically.

When you use the Services, we and parties that provide analytics, advertising, ecommerce, and related technologies may automatically collect information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, advertising and device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, search and browsing activity, approximate location derived from IP address, interactions with advertisements and communications, cart activity, and date and time information. Session-replay and similar tools may collect mouse movements, scrolling, clicks, and other interactions with the Services.

Information from other sources.

We may receive personal information from ecommerce, payment, fraud-prevention, fulfillment, delivery, subscription-management, customer-support, review, marketing, analytics, advertising, social-media, and other providers or partners, and may combine it with information collected through the Services.

3. COOKIES, PIXELS, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We and third parties may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage, session-replay technology, server-side APIs, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, understand usage, measure performance, prevent fraud, personalize content, attribute conversions, and support advertising.

The technologies used in connection with the Services may include services provided by Shopify, Google, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Amazon, Microsoft Clarity, Klaviyo, and Northbeam. The providers and technologies we use may change over time. We may also transmit transaction, audience, and conversion information through server-side integrations.

You can control certain cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the Services function. You may also use the privacy-choices or opt-out link in the Site footer. We do not respond to legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform standard for those signals. We process recognized opt-out preference signals as described in Section 9.

6. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to include making identifiers, device or internet activity, commercial information, approximate location, or related inferences available to advertising, analytics, attribution, or social-media platforms for interest-based advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to opt out of these activities. Use the privacy-choices or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

Cookies and advertising.

You may use browser controls and the privacy-choices link in the Site footer. Choices are generally specific to the browser and device on which they are made.

8. RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Notice, including to conduct business with you, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect rights and security, and enforce agreements. Criteria used to determine retention include the nature and duration of our relationship with you, the type and sensitivity of the information, legal and operational requirements, and whether there is an ongoing business need for the information.

9. PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information; correction; deletion; data portability; information about categories of personal information collected, used, or disclosed; and an opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also have a right to appeal a denial of a request.

To submit a privacy request, email info@myshieldsystem.com and describe the request. To opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, you may also use the privacy-choices or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

Where required by applicable law, we process recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), as requests to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal.

We may take steps to verify your identity before completing a request and may deny or limit a request as permitted by law. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification of the agent’s authority and the consumer’s identity. If applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal using the contact method provided in our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right, as prohibited by applicable law.
